Rehearsal and event information update

Informal event: Friday 7th and Saturday 8th October 2022

Come along to St. Alban’s Church, Hall Road, Hull, on Friday evening and/or Saturday afternoon and evening for an informal sing and play, focusing on repertoire composed by local musicians and friends, with the addition of John Rutter’s recent composition, A Ukrainian Prayer:

Friday 7th October 2022: rehearsal from 6.30 p.m.

St. Alban’s Church, Hall Road, Hull

Everyone from 6.30 or as soon as you can get there. Bring your own stand.

Printed parts will be provided, but all parts are on Dropbox if you want to look at anything in advance. Alan Edgar has kindly written some orchestral parts, to support the choir, for the Rutter. They are now on Dropbox.

Come prepared to sing and play through any or all of the repertoire listed above. The choice and order will depend on attendees. You are welcome to take part in this session even if you can’t make it on Saturday.

Finishing by 9.30. There will be a break/breaks.

Saturday 8th October 2022: rehearsal from 2.00 p.m. and informal performance from 7.00 p.m.

Afternoon session from 2.00 with breaks built in. Informal performance at 7.00 p.m.

Choir: please bring a black folder for your music.

Orchestra: please bring your own stand.

Bring something to eat in the breaks. The church usually provides hot water for anyone wanting to make a hot drink.

Performance dress code: black trousers/skirt with plain coloured top. It may be chilly in the church so come prepared.

Do invite friends and family to come along and listen. Donations will be taken for charities supporting Ukraine.
